How do I import files in Hololight Space

Preparing you files and loading them in Hololight Space

Preparing Files in Hololight Space On-Premises

Before importing 3D models and other files into Hololight Space, we highly recommend organizing them into the appropriate folders as shown in the accompanying video.

  • 3D Objects Folder: This is where you should place your 3D models.
  • 3D Objects Folder/Hololight Space: Inside this directory, you will find three subfolders labeled "Annotations," "Saved Spaces," and "Skyboxes." Please ensure that you place the corresponding files in these folders.

While it is possible to load 3D objects from other directories, for optimal organization and ease of access, we strongly advise using these specific folders.

Within this interface, you can adjust various parameters, including units, scale, axis orientation, origin settings, and mirroring options. A preview button allows you to visualize how your imported object will appear in the space. Additionally, there is a delete button to remove the loading cube if needed. You can also click and drag the cube to reposition it in the environment and rotate it around its axes. Once you are satisfied with your settings, simply click the accept button to finalize the import of your 3D object.
