How do I start and join a multiuser session in Hololight Space?
Create or join a multiuser session, whether in the cloud or on a local network and align your space
You can join or create a session in Hololight Space using one of two methods:
- Local: If both users are connected to the same local network, you can join by selecting the session created by the other user.
-
Cloud: If you’re using the cloud version, select the Cloud option and enter the Session ID of the session you want to join. The Session ID is displayed when you create a cloud session, and it must be shared with all participants who wish to join.
The video above provides a comprehensive overview, including general settings available in the Meeting Menu tab. It also explains how to enable or disable features such as Autoshare and Auto Receive Files, as well as how to align your space for a shared session.
Align Space Manually and with QR Codes
Aligning the space is essential for local multiuser sessions. It ensures that all participants experience the same environment—enabling accurate collaboration and interaction.
You can align your space using two methods:
- Align Space Manually
This method lets you manually set the space origin at a specific location. If the other participant also sets their origin at the same spot, both spaces will be perfectly aligned. You can access this feature via the Quick Menu or the Space Manager. - Align Space with QR Code
This method allows you to scan a QR code to define the space origin. If the other participant scans the same QR code at the corresponding location, both spaces will align seamlessly.
