Known issues - Hololight Stream clients
Summary of known issues with Hololight Stream Clients
- IP address reset when switching tabs. Entered IP addresses will reset to their original value when you switch between tabs.
- HTC VIVE: The message "Establishing connection" doesn’t appear when connecting to the server application. This does not affect connectivity and is a cosmetic issue.
- Microsoft HoloLens 2: Using the camera stream significantly reduces performance and causes the device to heat up.
- Windows screen tearing: When the server uses a higher refresh rate than the client, screen tearing may occur. For example, tearing can appear when the server runs at 240 Hz and the client monitor is 60 Hz.
- Microphone capture error after disconnection: If the microphone wasn’t explicitly turned off before disconnecting, it may remain active with invalid data. In these cases, microphone capture stops working as expected.
- Meta Quest for Business: Restarting a Meta Quest device in Meta Quest for Business mode clears user data, such as connection history and bookmarks.
- Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest 3S: In the trial version of Hololight Stream, the watermark appears correctly only when the optics are set to the minimum eye distance. At other eye distances, the watermark appears misaligned between the left and right eyes.
- Meta Quest 3 watermark duplication: When using the newest Hololight Stream Client with an older version of the Hololight Stream server, the trial version watermark may appear twice. For best results, use matching server and client versions.
