How do I connect to Hololight Space?
Connect to a Hololight Space server locally or to Hololight Space cloud
This article explains how to connect to Hololight Space using your XR device. Before you begin, make sure that:
- Hololight Space is installed on your PC.
- The Hololight Space client is installed on your XR device.

If you want to use the cloud version of Hololight Space, you need an account for hololight.space. Please contact us for access.
Hololight Space local connection
- On your PC, start the Hololight Space Server. You can usually find the application in the Start menu or on your desktop.
The PC running Hololight Space Server and your XR device must be connected to the same network. - Power on your compatible XR device, such as the HoloLens 2, Meta Quest 3, PICO 4 Ultra Enterprise, or HTC VIVE XR Elite.
- Confirm that the XR device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your PC.
- Launch the Hololight Space client on your XR device.
- When prompted, enter the IP address of your server.
You can find this address displayed in the Hololight Space Server window on your PC. - Make sure the IP address is entered correctly—without any typos.
- Select Connect to start the session.
If the connection is successful, the client will link to the server, and you can begin your Hololight Space experience.
If you’re having trouble, double-check that both the server and the XR device are on the same network. |
Hololight Space Cloud Connection
To use the cloud version of Hololight Space you need an account for hololight.space. Please contact us for access.
If you already have access, login to hololight.space with your credentials. From here you can start the connection process.
- Sign in to hololight.space using your credentials.
- In the left sidebar, select Session.
- Choose the region closest to your location.
- Select Play to start a new session.
- Wait for the initialization to complete.
- Open the Hololight Space client on your XR device.
- In the sidebar, select Cloud.
- Sign in with your credentials and select Connect.
The left sidebar in the hololight.space interface provides access to several tools and features:
- Session – Manage, start, and schedule your sessions.
- Meeting – Generate QR codes for multi-user session access.
- Objects – Upload your 3D files for use in the application.
- VR Skyboxes – Upload custom VR backgrounds. In VR, go to Quick Menu > Main Menu > Settings > Options > VR to access them.
- Stencils – Upload stencils for use as annotations in sessions.
- Spaces – Manage your saved or exported spaces.
- Manage – View your session history.
