2015
Hololight Was Founded in Innsbruck, Austria
Florian Haspinger, Susanne Haspinger, Alexander Werlberger, and Luis Bollinger founded Hololight born out of a shared passion for augmented and virtual reality during their studies at the Technical University of Munich.
AR Software Development for Enterprises
Hololight quickly became a leading software provider in the XR market and was one of the first companies in the world to develop software for Microsoft’s HoloLens AR glasses. This quickly led to the identification of numerous applications in industrial companies.

Release of Hololight Space
One of the first projects was the visualization of the BMW i8 and the development of a CAD viewer. This eventually led to the Hololight Space software application, the first collaborative XR design and engineering software for companies in the automotive, aerospace, defense and manufacturing industries.

To overcome the limited computing power of smart glasses and to be able to display data in full quality, Hololight started working very early on a proprietary streaming solution.
