Hololight Stream version 2026.1.0.0 is available. It is a broad release, with work going into stability, connection quality and the everyday experience of running a session. The update brings improvements on the XR devices, changes how Stream runs on the application server, and fixes issues in the Autodesk VRED and Unreal Engine integrations.

On Meta Quest devices, 3D object stability has improved. Hololight Stream extracts depth information from the frames it receives to improve the experience. For Apple Vision Pro, image tracking has been added as a new alignment mode. Stream also tries to reconnect automatically when a connection is lost, including when the device is taken off the user's head.

Hololight Stream is now an app that runs as a background task on the Windows machine that acts as the application server, rather than being loaded into the server application itself.

Application integrations received fixes as well. In Autodesk VRED, changing the device resolution works without restarting VRED. In Unreal Engine, passthrough and selecting iPhone or iPad as the target device both work as expected.

The release notes also list known issues and workarounds for HTC VIVE, iOS and iPadOS, Meta Quest, Microsoft HoloLens 2, PICO 4 Ultra and Windows.
